The Vietnam Presbyterian Church successfully held from December 29-31 its 3rd general conference for the 2020–2024 tenure in Ho Chi Minh city’s Binh Thanh district.
Present at the event included Pastor President of the Vietnam Presbyterian Church Điểu Bôi and nearly 150 delegates representing members of the Presbyterian church.
Guests at the event included Director of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs’ Protestant Affairs Department Thiều Thị Hương and representatives of municipal authorities.
Speaking at the event, Director Thiều Thị Hương praised practical contributions of the Presbyterian church’s Management Council in the current tenure in guiding members to observe state laws and proactively engage in social charities launched by the church.
The 3rd general conference launched spiritual refreshment programs reviewed results of affairs of the Presbyterian Church in the current term, and outlined working plans for the 2020–2024 term. The conference also selected 15 members to the management council of the church for the 2020–2024 term, with Pastor Trần Quốc Bảo selected as the new president of the church.
