Vietnam Mennonite Church has new congregation established in Ba Ria – Vung Tau

A congregation of the Vietnam Mennonite Church was formally established at a ceremony held on October 9 in Long Toan ward of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province’s Ba Ria city.  

Present at the event included Pastor Head of the Vietnam Mennonite Church Huỳnh Đình Nghĩa, Pastor General Secretary of the Mennonite church Huỳnh Minh Đăng, Pastor General Treasurer of the church Lý Vịnh, Pastor commissioner in charge of preaching Kiều Thanh Sơn, representatives of the church’s chapters in the eastern region and Ho Chi Minh city, and representatives of local authorities.

During the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Long Toan ward Lê Xuân Hồng handed over the registration certificate to the congregation of the Mennonite church, and Pastor Huỳnh Đình Nghĩa performed religious rites for formally appointing commissioned Pastor Nguyễn Thành Được as the Superintendent of the new congregation of the church in Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
