The street festival and “con” worshipping ceremony, as part of the sixth Vietnam-Laos-China ‘con’ throwing festival, kicked off in Muong Te district, the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau on December 29.
The event has welcomed nearly 1,000 participants from Lai Chau and Dien Bien provinces in Vietnam, Phongsaly province in Laos and Yunnan province in China.
The 6th ‘con’ throwing festival aims to enhance cultural exchanges and external relations between border localities in Vietnam, China and Laos.
