Vietnam Caritas brings relief to flood victims in Vinh Diocese

On October 19-20, Bishop Vice Chairman of the Committee on Health and Social Actions (Caritas) Nguyễn Văn Yến visited Catholic parishes affected by floods in central Vietnam.

During the visit, the Vice Chairman presented gifts to flood victims in Catholic parishes of Tho Hoang and Tri Ban under Vinh Diocese.   

Earlier, on October 18, the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Vietnam sent a message to the Catholic community in Vietnam and overseas appealing for support to flood-hit victims in Vietnam central region. 

Provinces from Nghe An to Thua Thien-Hue in Vietnam central region have  seriously been affected by flood that caused by torrential rain last week, with Quang Binh and Ha Tinh are the two worst-hit provinces.
