In the complicated context of Covid-19 pandemic, a mid-year conference of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Executive Council expected to be held in Ho Chi Minh City will be suspended.
The formal note informing the suspension of the mid-year conference of the VBS’s Central Executive Council was signed on July 15 by Senior Venerable Vice President cum General Secretary of the VBS’s Central Executive Council Thích Đức Thiện.
In the formal note, the VBS informed that the conference reviewing Buddhist affairs in the first half of 2021 will be held online and the conference report will be sent to members of the VBS’s central executive council, central Buddhist Institutes and VBS’s executive committees in provinces and cities.
