The provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Board in collaboration with the Cao Bang province Youth Union presented 450 gifts to poor households, families under the special care policy and excellent pupils in 4 communes of Hong Sy, Sy Hai, Ma Ba and Tong Cot, Ha Quang district (Cao Bang province) with total cost of 270 million VND.
Each gift box included rice, noodles, blankets, clothes… worth about 600,000 VND
Ha Quang is a mountainous border district and ranked as one of the country's 62 poor districts with poor households accounting for over 21%. Especially, in some remote and ethnic localities, poor families make up more than 50% of the total households.
