The central Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) held a meeting to circulate regulations of the central Committee for Legislation and share experience on legal affairs on Nov. 22 at its second Office.
Attending the meeting were Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, Acting Chairman of the VBS Executive Council; Most Venerable Thích Thiện Tánh, Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the Central Supervision Committee and 250 delegates representing the Legislative Board, the VBS Executive Committee in 24 southern provinces.
Local authorities at the meeting included Mr. Lê Hoàng Vân, Vice-Chairman cum Director of Department of Buddhist Affairs, Ho Chi Minh city Committee for Religious Affairs, Mrs. Lê Hà representing the Social Security Department (Ministry of Public Security).

According to Most Venerable Thích Huệ Trí, Head of the central Committee for Legislation, the meeting aimed to ensure Buddhist affairs consistently conducted throughout the country and contributed to handling of specific legislative issues, including the management of Buddhist personnel and worship facilities in localities.
