Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Hanoi opens new school year

The Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Hanoi city held on September 23 a ceremony to open the school year 2020-2021.  

The event saw the participation of Most Venerable Thích Thanh Đạt, Member of the Secretariate of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council cum Head of the Buddhist Institute’s scientific council; Most Venerable Thích Thanh Quyết, Vice President of the VBS cum Rector of the Buddhist Institute in Hanoi; Prof. Lương Gia Tĩnh, Vice Rector of the Institute cum Editor-in-chief of Khuong Viet magazine; and large numbers of monks and nuns studying at the Institute.

During the event, Prof. Lương Gia Tĩnh informed results of training activities in the school year 2020-2021 and working plans of the school year 2021-2022 and Khuong Viet online magazine.

As reported at the event, the Buddhist Institute has completed 90% the training program approved result. The Institute has currently 424 monks and nuns studying in three categories of training.

In the 2020-2021 school year, 32 monks and nuns at bachelor degree achieved the excellent academic result.

On the occasion, the Organizing Board announced the operative license of the Khuong Viet online magazine approved by the Ministry of Information dated on August 13 with the domain of Khuongviet.vn.
