The Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Hanoi city’s Soc Son district held the closing ceremony on Sept. 4 for the 2015-2016 training.
Attending the ceremony included Most Venerable Rector of the Vietnam Buddhist Institute Thích Thanh Đạt, representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council, over 500 monks and nuns studying at the Institute and a large number of Buddhist followers.
Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà and representatives of Hanoi city’s authorities also joint Buddhists at the event.

During the ceremony, the Vietnam Buddhist Institute reviewed results of training activities in the school year 2015-2016 and approved educational guidelines and tasks for 2016-2017.
As reported at the event, in the 2015-2016 school year, 62 students (48 monks and nuns at bachelor degree and 14 students at college level) achieved the excellent title.
