Personnel of the supervision and legislation committees under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) for the 8th tenure have made debut at a ceremony held on July 19.
The event taking place in the southern office of the VBS locating in Ho Chi Minh city was held by the VBS’s Executive Council.
The strengthening of the VBS’s central supervision and legislation bodies was part of the implementation of a plan for consolidating 13 central functioning committees of the Buddhist sangha approved during the 8th Buddhist national congress held last November.
As reported during the event, the central legislation committee for the 2017-2022 term has already outlined its plans of activities for the next four years.
