The Vietnam Baptist Church solemnly held a ceremony on August 8 for celebrating its 30th founding anniversary as well as the 10th anniversary of the state recognition of the church.
Attending the ceremony included Pastor Nguyễn Võ Khánh Giám, President of the Vietnam Baptist Church, and over 400 dignitaries and followers of the church.
The event also saw Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng and representatives of other Protestant denominations in Vietnam South.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng congratulated the Baptist church on its achievements recorded in the last 30 years, especially since the state recognition of the church ten years ago, as well as praised practical contributions of the church to social developments in localities in the country. He also expressed hope the dignitaries and followers of the Vietnam Baptist Church would further uphold fine traditions for promoting social stability and sustainable development in the country.

The Vietnam Baptist Church (Southern), the former name of the Vietnam Baptist Church, was established on August 8, 1988, upon a separation from the General Baptist Church (Grace-Southern), and received state recognition in October, 2008.
