Vietnam Baha’i Faith community convenes 16th National congress

The 16th national congress of the Baha’i faith community was held on May 26-28 in Da Nang Baha’i center in Lien Chieu district’s Hoa Minh ward of Da Nang city.

Baha’i faith council for the 2023-2024 tenure makes its debut

The event drew the presence of 38 delegates from the local Baha’i Faith councils in the country.

Guests the event included Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA)’s Belief and Other Religions’ Affairs Division Trần Thị Minh Thu.

The 16th national congress of Vietnam Baha’i faith community marked the second-year implementation of the nine-year working plan. The national congress included the election of the new one-year management board, and discussion of key tasks in the coming years, contributing to serve the country with the motto “a progressive spirituality and a happy society” within working plans of the International Court of Justice of the International Baha’i faith community.

Speaking at the event, while extending congratulations to achievements of the Baha’i faith community over the past years, Head of GCRA’s Belief and Other Religions’ Affairs Division Trần Thị Minh Thu expressed hope that the Baha’i faith council would continue promoting their role in guiding the Baha’i faith community to complete its objectives and working programs in the 2023-2024 term.

The national congress of Vietnam Baha’i faith community followed the international congress of the global Baha’i faith community which successfully took place from April 24 to May 2 in Israel’s Haifa city which elected members to the Baha’i community’s International Court of Justice, as well as outlined working plans for the next nine years.
