VFF Vice President meets with Ninh Thuan provincial government on 15-year implementation of Resolution 25 on religious affairs

Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Lê Bá Trình led a delegation to attend a working meeting with Ninh Thuan provincial People’s Committee on February 28.

In reviewing the 15-year implementation of the Resolution 25 of the 9th Party Central Committee on religious affairs, the meeting pointed out advantages and achievements, as well as raised limitations and shortcomings, such as lack of coordination between concerning agencies and departments, unclear roles and responsibilities of each State sectors and not timely responding people’s pressing needs and legitimate recommendations by competent authorities.

Speaking at the meeting reception, Deputy President Lê Bá Trình praised local authorities for well implementing the State administration on religious affairs over the past 15 years, as well as asked the provincial government to gather data and evidences on specific remaining issues and problems related to religion.

Earlier on the same day, the VFF Central Committee’ Deputy President visited a religious establishment and met with Phan Rang city’s People Committee to check the implementation of the Party’s Resolution on religious affairs.

Ninh Thuan province is home to over 87,000 religious followers (accounting for more than 43.57% of the provincial population) belonging to Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Caodaism, Baha’i, Bàlamôn and Islam.
