The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in the city signed on October 17 a cooperation program for the 2022 – 2027 period.

The cooperation program aims to persuade Buddhist monks, nuns and lay followers and local people to observe the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws on national unity, proactively join patriotic movements and implement the working programs of the municipal VFF and the city VBS’s chapter.
According to Vice Chairwoman of the municipal VFF Phan Kiều Thanh Hương, key contents of the coordination program include the dissemination of the Party and the State’s guidelines and policies to Buddhist monks, nuns, lay followers, and local residents; the participation of Buddhist monks, nuns, lay followers in movements and programs launched by the VFF; the timely understanding of legitimate needs of the VBS community in the city, etc.
