VFF reviews six-month religious affairs

Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) held on August 5 a meeting to review its performance in religious affairs in the first six months of 2016.

The meeting was chaired by President of VFF Nguyễn Thiện Nhân, and attended by representatives from concerning central agencies and several religious organizations.

According to the VFF’s report at the meeting, the collaboration work between the VFF and central agencies relating to religious affairs has recorded good results in disseminating state laws on religion to both religious followers and general people, promoting patriotic movements in religious communities and contributing to completing the draft law on belief and religion.

During the meeting, President Nguyễn Thiện Nhân stressed the need for close coordination between the VFF and related central agencies in building state laws relating to religion and in encouraging followers of religions to proactively join in movements launched by the VFF and related agencies.
