President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s Central Committee Trần Thanh Mẫn visited and met with Most Venerable President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn on January 30 ahead of the traditional New Year Festival (Tet) 2018.
Speaking with the host, the VFF leader spoke highly of the VBS’s role in fostering social unity and development in the country over the past years.
President Trần Thanh Mẫn also asked the VBS leader to further encourage Buddhists to proactively join programs and movements launched by the VFF for socio-economic development in the country.
On occasion of the lunar New Year 2018, the VFF leader extended wishes of peace, success and prosperity to all Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the country.
