During a working trip to Southern provinces, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Trần Thanh Mẫn extended on September 18 visits to religious places in Can Tho city.
The VFF President visited the Bishopric of Can Tho and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Can Tho city.
During the visiting receptions, Mr. Trần Thanh Mẫn spoke highly of practical contributions by Catholics and Buddhists to socio-economic development and maintenance of public security in the locality over the past years. He also asked religious dignitaries and deacons to further promote their role in encouraging followers to proactively join in local movements, contributing to build the prosperous and city of Can Tho.
