President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Trần Thanh Mẫn paid a visit to Nha Trang Diocese in Central Vietnam on December 18 ahead of Christmas 2019.
During the welcoming reception hosted by Bishop Joseph Võ Đức Minh of Nha Trang, the VFF leader extended merry Christmas celebrations to the bishop and all Catholics in the diocese.
The VFF president’s visit was accompanied by Secretary of the Party Committee of Khanh Hoa Nguyễn Khắc Định and representatives from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and Khanh Hoa provincial government.
Nha Trang diocese covers the two central provinces of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan and has over 200,000 Catholics with 106 Catholic parishes and communities and one priest-training institute.
