VFF in Ba Ria reviews patriotic movements in religious communities

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Board in Ba Ria city of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province held on December 15 a meeting to review patriotic movements in religious communities 2022 and sign the emulation agreement 2023.

City authorities present flowers to local religious organizations

The event saw the presence of Deputy Secretary of the city Party’s Committee Lê Thị Thủy, representatives from the VFF in city and religious organizations in the city.

As reported at the event, Ba Ria city has five operative religions of Catholicism, Buddhism, Protestantism, Caodaism and the Pure-land Buddhist Association, and 44 religious practicing groups.

In 2022, religious organizations in the city have contributed over 9.9 billion VND for conducting social charities, supporting the Fund for the poor, building charity houses, supporting the disadvantaged, etc.

Local religious organizations sign emulation agreement 2023

During the event, religious organizations in the city has signed the emulation agreement 2023 for encouraging religious followers in the city proactively engage in environment protection and climate change adaption and social programs and movements launched in the city.

On the occasion, the city People’s Committee presented certificates of commendation to 10 religious groups and 20 religious individuals for their outstanding contributions in patriotic movements in 2022.
