The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s Central Committee held on October 4 a meeting with key followers of religious organizations in Vietnam’s Southern region.
The meeting held with the aim to learn about religious dignitaries’ aspirations and gather their comments on social issues took place in Ho Chi Minh City and was presided by Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyễn Hữu Dũng.
During the meeting, representatives of religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, etc actively raised their voice to practical social problems in the region, including the current usage of toxic agents in agricultural products and robbery crimes, as well as comments on roles of the Vietnam fatherland committee and professional skills and working capacity of state cadres.
Speaking during the meeting, Vice President Nguyễn Hữu Dũng pledged to promote the Vietnam fatherland front’s role as “the common home” for all religious and ethnic communities in Vietnam, and timely submit all comments of religious dignitaries to competent authorities and agencies in order to better address religious and social issues, contributing to promote religious roles for national construction and defense.
