On March 23-25, the Verity Way Caodai Church held the 5th Humanity Congress for 2016-2021 tenure at Ngoc Sac Holy See in Thoi Binh district of Ca Mau province.
Attending the congress were over 600 delegates from the Church’s 49 parishes in the country.
Distinguished guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng, and Chairman of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Lê Dũng, officials from the provincial religious committees of Kien Giang, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang, and representatives of other Caodai sects and religions.
The three-day congress reviewed the Church’s activities in the fourth term (2011-2016) and mapped out working plans for the fifth term, as well as approved the amended Charter.
The 5th Humanity Congress also elected 12 new members of the Church’s Executive Committee with Cardinal Thái Tăng Tinh as Chairman of the Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng spoke highly of the Church’s achievements in the past term. He also expressed hope for continuous promotion of the Church’s fine tradition and further implementation of the motto “The country’s glory, the religion’s enlightenment”.

On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals for their practical contributions to social-economic development in the locality.
