VBS’s executive board in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 8 sends reliefs to fire victims

A charity delegation from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Board in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 8 paid a visit on January 02 to four families severely affected by the fire in Nguyen Duy Street of the District’s Ward 12.  

The charity delegation was led by Senior Venerable Thích Huệ Công, Acting Chairman of the VBS’s executive board cum Head of the Red Cross’s Sponsorship Board in the district, and joint by Buddhist monks and nuns from pagodas in the locality.

During the visit, the delegation presented 18 million VND in cash and a gift-set valued at 700 thousand VND to each family severely affected by the fire.

In addition, Buddhist monks and nuns of pagodas in the locality and sponsors also sent reliefs to support fire victims helping them stabilize life and welcome the New Year 2021.
