The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council held a conference on April 26 in Long Son pagoda in Nha Trang city of Khanh Hoa province to review its Buddhist affairs in four provinces of the Central region.
Attending the meeting were Venerable Deputy Secretary cum Chief of the VBS’s Southern Office Thích Thiện Thống, Venerable Deputy Chief of the VBS Southern Office Thích Quang Thạnh, and members the VBS Executive Committees in four provinces of Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan.
Representative from the Southern Religious Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Thanh Xuân and leaders of the Religious Committees of the four provinces also joint the event
The conference aimed to update information on Buddhist affairs in the region and discussed religious practice of monks, nuns, the organization and personnel of the district-level Buddhist Congress, etc.
