An online Buddhist course for overseas Vietnamese was opened at 6.p.m on January 13 (Vietnam time) by the Overseas Buddhist Sub-Committee under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Committee for Buddhist Guidance.
The event saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Thanh Hùng, Chairman of the VBS Central Buddhist Guidance Committee; Venerable Thích Tuệ Nhật, Head of the Overseas Buddhist Sub-Committee cum Head of the VBS Buddhist course’s Organization Board, and 240 overseas Vietnamese who are lay Buddhists in Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Canada, Vietnam and several other countries in Asia.
The online Buddhist course ran until January 15, with a two-hour session each day including Buddhist recitation, meditation, propagation, and prayers.
