A delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Nun Affairs Sub-Committee led by Superior Nun Thích nữ Tịnh Nguyện visited on June 28 the VBS’s Office in Ho Chi Minh City for presenting donation to the Covid-19 vaccine fund.
Welcoming the delegation at Quang Duc monastery located in District 3 included Most Venerable Thích Thiện Pháp, Standing Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Head of the VBS’s Monk Affairs Committee, and Most Venerable Thích Huệ Thông, Deputy General Secretary of the VBS Executive Council cum Chief of the VBS’s Office in Ho Chi Minh City.
During the visit, the VBS Nun Affairs Sub-Committee handed a symbolic donation board of one billion VND to the VBS’s Central Executive Council. The cash donation will be transferred to the VBS’s bank account for sending to the Covid-19 vaccine fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Earlier, on May 18, the VBS’s Nun Affairs Sub-Committee also presented 75 oxygen generators to Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City for supporting Indian people severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
