Two charitable delegations of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Tien Giang province presented on January 27 1,000 gift sets to poor locals in districts of Go Cong Tay, Go Cong Dong, Tan Phu Dong, and Go Cong provincial city, ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2021.
The delegation led by Most Venerble Thích Huệ Minh, Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee in the province visited and presented 500 gift sets of cash to poor locals in communes Long Vinh, Vinh Huu, Thanh Tri, and Long Binh of Go Cong Tay district, and Binh Xuan and Binh Dong of Go Cong provincial city.
The delegation led by Senior Venerable Thích Quảng Lộc, Vice Chairman of the Buddhist Executive Committee in the province visited and presented 500 gift sets of cash to poor locals in communes Phu Dong, Phu Tan, and Phu Thanh of Tan Phu Dong district, and Phuoc Trung, Tan Dien, Tang Hoa, Tan Thanh, and Tan Hoa town of Go Cong Dong district.
The total value of the charity program was 400 million VND.
