VBS in Tien Giang donates 1.5 billion VND to flood victims in Central region

The executive committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Tien Giang province organized from November 3-4 three relief delegations for presenting 3,000 cash gifts valued at 1.5 billion VND to people badly affected by floods in provinces of Quang Tri, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.  

The relief delegation led by Chairman of the Buddhist Executive Committee in Tien Giang province Most Venerable Thích Huệ Minh visiting Quang Tri province on November 4 handed over 930 cash gifts with 500 thousand VND each to people severely affected by the recent floods in the locality.

The delegation also visited the provincial Buddhist executive committee office based in Tinh Quang Sac Tu pagoda and presented relief to nuns at 13 Buddhist pagodas in the province.

The relief delegation led by Senior Venerable Thích Quảng Lộc, Deputy Head of the provincial VBS chapter’s Social Charity Board visited Quang Binh province on November 3 and presented 1000 cash gifts worth 500 million VND in total to flood victims in the locality.

The relief delegation led by Superior Nun Thích Nữ Tịnh Nghiêm, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial VBS chapter’s executive committee cum Head of the Sub-Committee for Nuns Affairs visited Ha Tinh province on November 3 and presented 1000 cash gifts valued at 500 million VND to flood victims in the locality.
