The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Phu Tho province held on January 21 a meeting for reviewing its religious affairs in 2018 and mapping out plans for 2019.
The meeting taking place at Thien Long pagoda located in Viet Tri city was chaired by Senior Venerable Thích Minh Nghiêm, member of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Head of the Executive Committee of the VBS in the province, Vice Chairman of the province Religious Committee Nguyễn Hữu Cầu, representatives from 13 district-level executive board of the VBS in the province was amongst representatives of local authorities.
According to the meeting report, the Buddhist committee provided supports to the disadvantaged people in the province with the total value estimated at five billion VND in 2018.

During the event, Vice Chaiman Nguyễn Hữu Cầu hailed achievements in Buddhist affairs of the province VBS’s executive committee in 2018. He also asked the province VBS’s executive committee to continue guiding Buddhist to join local authorities for sustainable development in the province.
