VBS in Long An presents medical supports for Covid-19 prevention to provincial Military Command

A delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Long An province led by Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Minh Thiện visited on August 23 the provincial Military Command for donating over 1,010 sets of medicines for treatment of Covid-19 infection according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
The delegation also handed over two multi-purpose ventilators, 2,000 VN95 face masks and other medical supplies sent by Senior Venerable Thích Nhật Từ, Permanent Deputy Director of Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Ho Chi Minh City to the provincial Military Command for the epidemic prevention and control work.
During the reception, Colonel Trần Văn Trai, Commander of the provincial Military Command thanked the VBS executive committee and Most Venerable Thích Nhật Từ for their practical supports to the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control work in the province.
Most Venerable Thích Minh Thiện also informed that, for the past days, the VBS executive committee has called on monks, nuns and lay Buddhists to make a donation of 200 million VND for the epidemic prevention and control.
