The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Kiên Giang province started on October 18 a training conference on pagoda management and propagation for key Buddhists in the province.
The event saw the presence of members of the VBS Executive Committee in the province and about 1,000 monks, nuns and followers in the locality.
The training conference aimed to help abbots and abbess of Buddhist worshipping places and monasteries better understand about Buddhist affairs and the VBS’s Charter and regulations, as well as state laws on belief and religion.
The event concluded on October 20.
