VBS in Ho Chi Minh City donates one billion VND for buying Covid-19 vaccine for the poor

The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter in Ho Chi Minh City presented on March 15 one billion VND to the municipal Fatherland Front Committee for supporting the Covid-19 vaccine for the poor.  

The presentation ceremony taking place at the office of the VBS executive committee based in Viet Nam Quoc Tu pagoda saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng, Chairman of the VBS executive committee, and Chairwoman of the municipal Fatherland front committee Tô Thị Bích Châu.

During the event, Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng handed over a symbolic sign of one billion VND to Chairwoman Tô Thị Bích Châu.

Chairwoman Tô Thị Bích Châu took the chance to thank the VBS executive committee’s dignitaries for calling lay Buddhists to support the Covid-19 prevention fund over the past year and praised practical contributions made by monks, nuns and lay Buddhists in Ho Chi Minh City to the Covid-19 vaccine for the poor.
