The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in An Giang province’s Thoai Son district has successfully held its 7th assembly at Truc Lam An Giang Zen monastery located in Nui Sap town of the district.
Present at the conference included Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in An Giang province Nguyễn Phú and Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s executive committee in the province Thích Huệ Tài.
The 7th Buddhist congress selected 12 members to the district VBS’s executive board for the 2021-2026 term with Senior Venerable Thích Thiện Lợi re-selected as Chairman of the executive board.

Thoai Son district currently has 48 places of Buddhist worship with 166 monks and nuns. In the last term, the district VBS has proactively engaged in social charities with the total contribution of over 15 billion VND.
