The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Central Committee for Buddhist Propagation and the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial VBS Executive Committee held the national propagation conference 2015 on December 5 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
Attending the event included Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn, members of the VBS Discernment Council, VBS Central Committee for Buddhist Propagation, over 1,200 monks, nuns from the VBS Buddhist propagation committee across the country, about 1,000 Buddhist propagators and a large numbers of Buddhist followers.
State guests at the conference included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng and local authorities’ representatives.

Speaking at the event, Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the Central Committee for Buddhist Propagation Thích Bảo Nghiêm stated that Buddhist propagation is part of human work practically contributes to improve people’s life, and propagators have to understand spirit of Buddhist flexibility.

On this occasion, the conference’s Organization Board handed over 10 charitable houses to poor people and presented 200 scholarships to poor pupils in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
