A delegation from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) led by Standing Vice President of the VBS Central Executive Council paid on Fabruary 9 a visit to the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee ahead of the lunar New Year Festival (Tet).
The VBS delegation was welcomed by Vice President the VFF Central Committee Ngô Sách Thực at the VFF headquarters in Hanoi.
While extending Tet greetings to the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu shared with the host social charities implemented by the VBS over the past years, including the provision of supports to the poor and relief to victims of natural calamities, as well as activities for environmental protection.
Speaking with the VBS delegation, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực hailed practical contributions made by dignitaries and followers of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and called on the Buddhist church to further uphold fine traditions for promoting social unity and improving people’s material and spiritual life./.
