The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee in Tien Giang province organized on October 12 a meeting on implementation of a the VBS Executive Council’s document on disciplines for Buddhist novices at Vinh Trang pagoda.
The meeting was presided over by Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Huệ Minh and attended by representatives of the VBS executive offices from 11 districts and specialized boards of the provincial Executive Committee in the province.
During the event, meeting participants focused their exchanges and discussion of the document No. 364/CV HDTS date on 07-10-2016 of the VBS Executive Council on tightening of disciplines for novice monks and nuns at monasteries. On this occasion, Buddhist representatives also gave comments to the current draft law on religion and belief.
