As reviewed at the event, in addition to good results recorded in Buddhist affairs for the term of 2012-2017, Buddhist dignitaries and followers have contributed over VND 20 billion in social, charitable activities in the locality over the past five years.

The one-day congress elected 41 members to VBS Executive Committee for 2017–2022 tenure with Senior Venerable Thích Thanh Quyết reelected as the Committee Chairman.

On this occasion, the provincial VBS Executive Committee was awarded a certificate of merit by the Central VBS for outstanding achievements in Buddhist affairs.

Currently, Quang Ninh province has more than 600 monks, nuns in monasteries and over 165,000 Buddhist followers with 159 Buddhist worshiping establishments and relic sites.
