The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s (VBS) Chapter in Quang Binh province prayed for peace in the country and happiness for people during Thuong Nguyen ceremony held on March 3 (the 15th day of the Lunar Year) at Dai Giac pagoda in the province’s Dong Hoi city.

The event saw the participation of Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Tánh Nhiếp and large numbers of monks, nuns and Buddhists in the locality.
Representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, Dong Hoi city People’s Committee and the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Font Committee also attended the ceremony
The event provided an opportunity for Buddhist followers and local people praying for peace, happiness, and prosperity in New Year 2018.
