Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Kon Tum province Most Venerable Thích Quảng Xả visited and met with new Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Dương Văn Trang on August 5.
Joining the visiting reception included representatives of provincial People’s committee, the provincial Fatherland front committee and the provincial religious committee.
During the event, while extending congratulations to Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Dương Văn Trang for his recent promotion, Most Venerable Thích Quảng Xả expressed hope that the Party leader would continue paying due attention to practices of Buddhism in particular and religions in the province in general.
New provincial Secretary Dương Văn Trang thanked the VBS chapter for its congratulating visit and took the chance to ask the Buddhist leader and the VBS committee to actively encourage lay Buddhists to strictly implement measures for the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control in the current situation.
