The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Ha Tinh province held on May 18 a solemn requiem for heroic martyrs and experts who sacrificed their life in Laos at Nam National Cemetery in the province’s Huong Son district.
Attending the event included Venerable Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS Chapter Thích Viên Như, Major General Deputy Political Commissar of Military Zone 4 Trần Tiễn Dũng, a delegation from Laos, Vietnamese heroic mothers and relatives of fallen heroes, and large numbers of monks, nuns and Buddhists.
After the requiem ceremony, remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts were buried in Nam National Cemetery on May 19.
