Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm, Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee in Ha Tinh province paid on January 25 a visit to provincial authorities, ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2022.
Provincial VBS’s executive committee extends Tet visit to authorities in Ha Tinh
Welcoming the most venerable included Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in the province Lê Ngọc Châu.
During the visit, while extending Tet greetings to the provincial authorities, Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm informed to the host religious affairs of the provincial VBS chapter, as well as took the chance to thank to the provincial authorities for their favorable conditions extended to religious practices of the VBS over the past year.
Speaking with the guests, Vice Chairman Lê Ngọc Châu highlighted practical contributions made by local Buddhists for the Covid-19 prevention work, and expressed hope that the VBS would continue guiding the local Buddhist community to actively engage in patriotic movements and the socio-economic development in the locality.
