The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Chapter in Ha Giang province held on January 8 a meeting to review Buddhist affairs in 2019 and approve working plans for 2020.
The event taking place Thien An pagoda in the province’s Bac Quang district was chaired by Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang, Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Head of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee.
Local guests at the event included representatives from the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Ethnic – Religious affairs Committee.
The meeting discussed results of Buddhist affairs of the VBS Chapter in 2019 and approved working plans in the next year.
As reported at the event, Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the province contributed a total value of over VND 10 billion to social charities in 2019.
