The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Da Nang City held on January 4 a meeting for reviewing its performance 2021 and mapping out plans of activities for 2022.
At the reviewing meeting
The event taking place in Phap Lam pagoda located in Hai Chau district’s Nam Duong ward saw the presence of members of the VBS executive committe. Chairman of the municipal Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Cao Cường was among local officials at the meeting.
According to the meeting report, in the year 2021 the Buddhist executive committee in Da Nang has successfully convened its congress for the 2021-2026 tenure, solemnly celebrated the 40th founding anniversary of the VBS, and hosted many online Buddhist courses for lay Buddhists in the locality in the context of the complicated Covid-19 epidemic in the city.
