The Executive Committee of the Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Chapter in Bac Ninh province held on December 27 a meeting for reviewing its performance 2018 and mapping out plans of activities 2019.
The event taking place in Dai Thanh temple saw the presence of members of the executive committee. Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Đinh Xuân Vịnh was among representatives from the local authorities at the meeting.
According to the meeting report, in the year 2018 the Buddhist executive committee in Bac Ninh in collaboration with the local authorities disseminated of the Law on Belief and Religion and its guiding Decree No.162 to Buddhist followers in the locality. The Buddhist committee also presented 5070 gift sets to the disadvantaged in the province valued at 3.270 billion VND.

In 2019, the Buddhist committee will focus on key tasks that include solving several disputes between heads of pagodas and local people in several localities and promote Buddhist values through practical activities, as well as help eliminating superstition and depraved customs.
