Joining the Vatican Cardinal’s visit were Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, non-resident Special Envoy of Vatican to Vietnam;  Archbishop Bùi Văn Đọc of Ho Chi Minh City Archdiocese - President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam. 

Cardinal Fernando Filoni was greeted by Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Giuse Đinh Đức Đạo of Xuan Loc Diocese at the diocese Cathedral, visited Saint Joseph Major Seminary and met the Seminary’s priests and over 500 seminarians.

The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples presided a mass in the Cathedral of the Diocese of Xuan Loc together with the Vietnamese Archbishop and bishops, in presence of about 20 thousand Catholics in the diocese.
