Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports held the final contest on Van and Chau Van singing festival 2018 at many locations in Hanoi on May 15-19.
The event aimed to honor and promote artistic values of Van and Chau Van singing to audiences at home and aboard, contributing to raise awareness of all sectors and communities in preserving, inheriting, and promoting traditional cultural values of the country.
Artists from Dan Phuong, Phuc Tho, Hoai Duc, Quoc Oai and Long Bien districts competed on May 17 in Lien Trung commune, Dan Phuong district.
Earlier, artists from Ha Dong, Ba Dinh, Tay Ho, Nam Tu Liem, Phu Xuyen, Thach That, Chuong My, My Duc, Dong Anh and Thanh Oai districts contested on May 15-16 at the outdoor stage in Van Phuc precinct, Ha Dong district.
Later, artists from Bac Tu Liem, Hai Ba Trung, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Thuong Tin, Hoan Kiem, Cau Giay, Soc Son and Thanh Tri districts showed their performances on May 18-19 in Tay Tuu precinct, Bac Tu Liem district./.
