The Central Executive Committee of the Tu An Hieu Nghia (Four Debts of Gratitude) Buddhist Association held on July 4 a meeting in An Giang province for reviewing its performance in the first six months of 2022 and approving working plans for the last six months.
At the reviewing meeting
The event saw the participation of Chairman of the Central Executive Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Trác, other members of the central executive committee, and representatives from24 branches of the Buddhist Association and several worshipping places of the association in the province.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Lê Quang Tấn and representatives from local authorities.
As reported at the event, in the first six months, the central Executive Committee and the branches of the Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association have well carried out Buddhist affairs for meeting religious needs of the members of the Buddhist sect in accordance with the Charter of the Buddhist Association and the State laws.
In addition, members of the Buddhist Association have spent over 2.8 billion VND on social and charitable programs for presenting gifts to the disadvantaged, upgrading local rural roads, giving donations to funds for promoting education, improving the living environment and supporting social welfares for the poor, etc.
