The Executive Committee of the Tu An Hieu Nghia (Four Debts of Gratitude) Buddhist Association has held a meeting in An Giang province for reviewing its performance in 2020 and approving working plans for 2021.
The event taking place at Tam Buu pagoda in Tri Ton district saw the participation of Chairman of the Executive Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Trác and members of the functioning sub-committees of the Buddhist Association.
Local guests at the event included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Phú and representatives from local authorities.
As reported at the event, in 2020, the Buddhist Association’s executive committee last year spent over 1.478 billion VND on social and charitable programs for presenting gifts to the disadvantaged, building charity houses for the poor and local rural roads. In particular, the executive committee and its members has presented nearly 400 million VND to the Covid-19 prevention work and 2,000 masks to its worshipping places in localities.

On the occasion, the Buddhist Association’s executive committee presented certificates of commendation to five individual members for their outstanding contributions in Buddhist activities in 2020.
