The traditional festival of Co Lao ethnic people was celebrated on September 10-11 in Tung San, Ha Giang province’s Hoang Su Phi district.
The event was co-organized by the Ha Giang provincial committee for ethnic affairs in collaboration with Hoang Su Phi district People’s Committee and saw the participation of Deputy Head of the provincial committee for ethnic affairs Đặng Đình Nhiêu, local authorities’ representatives and a large number of people in the locality.
The festival featured the Hoàng Vần Thù worshipping ritual and prayers for success crops with the aim to express gratitude to the ancestors and pray for prosperity, as well as traditional games including tug of war, push sticks, and traditional folk songs of Co Lao ethnic people .
