Tien Giang province reviews ten-year implementation of Prime Minister Directive on Protestantism

Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee reviewed ten-year implementation of Directive 01/2005/CT-TTg on some tasks regarding Protestantism at a meeting held on July 8.
Attending the meeting included Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Trần Kim Mai and representatives from religious affairs steering board of 11 districts.
At the meeting, participating delegates focused their discussion on advantages and disadvantages in the implementation of Prime Minister Directive on Protestantism, and made proposals to the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee on remaining issues in the locality.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman Trần Kim Mai urged local authorities to further create favorable conditions for Protestant followers to conduct religious activities in accordance with religious Charter and state laws, and proactively join in social movements in the locality.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented a certificate of merit to a collective unit and an individual for outstanding achievements in ten-year implementation of Directive 01/2005/CT-TTg on some tasks regarding Protestantism.
