On March 6, a ceremony was held for handing over graduation certificates of the first course of the basic tenets class (2014-2016) in Tien Giang province’s Phuoc Long pagoda.
Attending the event included dignitaries from the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee, Buddhist monks, nuns, lecturers, trainees and a large number of Buddhist followers in the locality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Venerable Thích Minh Bảo, Vice Chairman of the VBS Central Committee for Clergy Education, Vice President of Buddhist School in Tien Giang province cum Chairman of the basic Buddhist tenets program, praised trainees for their learning spirits. He also encouraged graduates to continue outside-school learnings as well as practice teachings in both social and religious life.
During the ceremony, the class’s Management Board also presented awards to 11 excellent students.
On this occasion, the Management Board opened the 1st course of the professional tenets class (2016-2019) with the participation of nearly 100 trainees.
